The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test is a full form of CSIR NET. The National Testing Agency (NTA) administers a national-level exam to select applicants for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and to determine their eligibility for lecturing positions in Indian universities and colleges.
Candidates who pass the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) NET exam can only become lecturers in the Science and Technology faculty.
CSIR NET 2022 Notification
Human Resource Development Group (HRDG) announced that the CSIR UGC NET 2022 Exam will be held in September 2022 by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The CSIR NET 2022 Notification will be available on the organization’s official website, csirnet.nta.nic.in. The NTA administers the Joint CSIR-UGC NET Exam to determine Indian Nationals’ eligibility for Junior Research Fellowships and Lecturer appointments in the fields of Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, General, and Physical Sciences.
“The upcoming CSIR-UGC-NET exam will be conducted in association with NTA in the month of September 2022. Exact details and schedule will be shared in due course,” the HRDG tweeted.

CSIR NET 2022 Application Form Date
The NTA will release the exam schedule when it is ready. It should be noted that once the notification is issued, qualified candidates can fill out the CSIR NET 2022 application form on the official website, csrnet.nta.nic.in. The CSIR NET 2022 application form date is expected to be available at the end of July or the beginning of August.
How to Fill CSIR UGC NET Application Form 2022
Candidates must complete the following steps in order to submit them CSIR NET 2022 Application Form:
- Visit the CSIR NET official website at csrnet.nta.nic.in.
- Click on the button that says “CSIR UGC NET 2022 Application Form.”
- Select the New Registration option.
- Read the instructions and then select the checkbox at the bottom of the page.
- Click the “Click Here to Continue” button.
- Fill out the CSIR NET 2022 registration form completely and click Submit.
- Take note of the application number and password generated by the system.
- Log in to your registered account by entering your application number and password.
- Fill out the CSIR NET application form 2022 completely.
- Upload scanned images of your photo and signature in JPG format in accordance with the specifications.
- The CSIR NET 2022 confirmation page can be downloaded and printed.

CSIR NET 2022 Exam Pattern
The CSIR UGC NET 20222 exam will be conducted in an online mode with objective-type multiple-choice questions being asked from the subject chosen by candidates.
The exam is divided into three sections, each of which is comprised of MCQ or objective-type question patterns. The paper will be divided into three sections. Section A, or General Aptitude, will be worth 30 marks and will consist of 20 questions, with students answering 15 questions worth 2 marks each. Section B consists of 70-point MCQ questions on the subject matter. Section C will assess the candidate’s understanding of scientific concepts as well as application-based questions.

Qualifications in Education
Aspirants must have a master’s degree with a minimum of 55 percent aggregate marks or be enrolled in post-graduate studies.
Age Limit
This age limit is consistent with previous exams. For the current cycle, the age limit may be relaxed. The exact relaxation will be announced in the brochure.

Following the completion of the exam, the National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the result of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test, also known as CSIR NET Result 2022. Candidates can access the direct link to check their results and download the CSIR NET Scorecard on the official website.
The CSIR NET Result 2022 includes the scorecard, which includes information about the marks earned and the percentile for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. The NTA publishes the CSIR UGC NET Answer Key 2022 prior to the release of the results.
